This disclosure explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies used by the Perkstacker website (perkstackerapp.app) and mobile app. The mobile app itself does NOT use browser cookies; it uses secure device storage for authentication tokens.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They can be used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, or measure how a site is used.
Our mobile app uses “secure storage” — a device-native equivalent of cookies for storing your authentication token — rather than browser cookies.
ESSENTIAL (always on): required for the Service to function.
FUNCTIONAL: remember your preferences.
PAYMENT: only present during checkout, set by Stripe.
ANALYTICS: PostHog and Sentry.
We do not embed advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or third-party remarketing cookies on our website or in the app.
When you initiate a payment, Stripe (our processor) sets its own fraud-prevention cookies on their checkout page. Their disclosure is available at stripe.com/cookies-policy.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via the browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.
On the mobile app, you can clear stored authentication tokens by logging out from Profile → Log out, or by uninstalling the app.
You can revoke device permissions (location, camera, notifications) at any time in your device Settings; this will disable the corresponding features but not delete your account data.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry standard for how sites should respond, our Service does not currently change its behavior based on DNT signals. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising regardless of DNT.
The mobile app can schedule LOCAL notifications on your device (e.g., meal-time reminders) if you grant notification permission. These reminders are stored and delivered entirely on-device and do not send data to our servers unless you explicitly interact with them.
We use aggregated PostHog analytics and Sentry crash reporting to understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. Analytics data is scoped to your account ID and cannot be used to identify you beyond what you provided during signup.
If we add new categories of cookies or trackers, we will update this page and — where required — request your consent before enabling them.
